A personal care home, also known as a residential care home, is a type of long-term care facility that provides housing, support, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) for individuals who need some level of personal care but do not require the level of medical care provided in a nursing home.
Legese Community Living is a personal care home nestled in a quiet neighborhood in Garland, TX. Legese is on a mission to build communities where senior lives matter. Some key features and services offered by Legese are:
^ All private rooms completely furnished with basic furnishings. Residents are encouraged to bring memorabilia from home to personalize their space.
^ Our primary caregiver and owner is a registered nurse with nearly two decades of nursing experience. She reviews vital signs and glucose readings daily, monitors residents for changes in physical and mental status and performs medication management.
^ Nutritious and well-balanced meals are provided daily. Residents’ personal preferences and dietary restrictions are considered when meals are planned.
^ Laundry, housekeeping and transportation are included and do not come at an extra expense for our families.
^ Social and recreational activities are planned monthly and include road trips for family and volunteer activities and at home, we have a pool table and lots of games that use fine motor skills such as Bingo, Connect 4 and dominoes.
Legese Community Living aims to provide a supportive and homelike environment for individuals who require assistance with daily activities, and it can be a suitable option for individuals who value the combination of support, independence, and community offered by such facilities.
